First Online College Trip Planner Helps High School Students and Parents Organize Their Campus Visits
ATLANTA, August 25, 2010--Go See Campus (www.goseecampus.com), a new, free website that helps high school students and parents plan campus visits and make the most of the college search, is transforming the traditional college road trip.
Its signature application, The College Trip Planner, is a first-of-its-kind web tool that connects users to tours, information sessions, and other admissions activities at hundreds of schools. They can download campus maps, get parking directions, and make travel arrangements from the site. Dates and times are saved in itineraries students can take on the road.
Kevin Preis, the website’s founder, says, “Go See Campus lets students and parents get the most from the college search by making it easier to plan a campus visit and to find the advice they need. The College Trip Planner and the site’s other resources help them narrow their focus, save time, and reduce stress.”
Go See Campus had a quiet launch in March to prepare for the fall season and has a growing audience of students and parents already. “It’s easy,” says Julie Taylor-Vaz, Co-Director of College Counseling at Isidore Newman School in New Orleans. “Usually, to plan a college trip, you have to find details on each college’s website.” She suggests Go See Campus to her students because it connects them directly to the right information and keeps trips organized.
The site is gaining attention from college experts as well. Go See Campus announced a partnership in the spring with the Independent Educational Consultants Association, the industry’s leading professional organization. IECA recommends the website to its members and their clients.
In addition to The College Trip Planner, Go See Campus provides college advice, campus visit reports, and university reviews. Students and parents can stay connected to Go See Campus through the website, on Facebook, and via Twitter.
